Tikhevuth, a poetic Khmer student, falls in love with Channmony, a Thai girl, in pre-war Phnom Penh. As nationalism rises and war erupts, they are torn apart by false accusations and shifting borders. Years later, Tikhevuth, now a soldier, questions whether their love was real or a dream.
